How can I connect with Undergraduate Admissions?
While the physical Undergraduate Admissions office is closed, all staff are working remotely and remain dedicated to assisting the needs of prospective and accepted students. Voicemails left on the main Admissions line are monitored, but the best means of communication are emails sent to the TCNJinfo@tcnj.edu office account or directly to a staff member. (View a staff directory.)
What is the process to request a deferral?
Each year, the Office of Admissions works with a small number of students to grant deferrals due to military involvement, medical conditions, or other extenuating circumstances. Due to COVID-19 and the uncertainty of the upcoming fall semester, more students in the Class of 2024 may consider deferring their offer of admission.
Is TCNJ still allowing transfer applicants to apply? When would I expect a decision?
We have extended the deadline to July 1 for transfer students to submit the Common Application. We are releasing decisions on completed applications on a weekly/rolling basis. Please email either Brian Switay or Quiana Starr to discuss what a fully completed application entails.
Will TCNJ accept a pass/fail or credit/no credit grade for transfer credit if it was earned in the spring 2020 semester?
In keeping with TCNJ’s 2020 Spring Semester Ungraded Option policy, courses taken for a pass/fail or credit/no credit grade in the spring 2020 semester wherein a passing grade or credit was earned are accepted for transfer credit.
Now that Accepted Students Day is canceled, will an alternate/virtual opportunity be offered?
Yes! The people of TCNJ – our faculty, staff, students and even alumni – are helping us tell the TCNJ story through a growing number of videos, presentations, info sheets and webinars that we’re posting on our Virtual Accepted Students Day website. All fall 2020 accepted students have received information regarding TCNJ’s virtual Accepted Students Day via the email address listed in their application.
